Ranked is a separate queue from Casual. Open it from PLAY, or from the glowing zone by the Ranked sign in the lobby.

Rules that were published

Ranked 1v1 runs three rounds, first to two. Everyone starts at a rating of 400. Matchmaking looks near your rating. A win raises the rating and pays Gems. Both players receive Coins. A loss lowers the rating and still pays Coins. Numeric rating gains such as a fixed MMR band were not published, and this site does not use Bronze-to-Master brackets.

A September 2026 report puts Casual wins near 300 to 400 Coins and losses near 100 to 150, and says Ranked pays more than a spar. Treat those payouts as approximate.

What is still locked

The September 10, 2026 first-duel guide says Ranked 1v1 and 2v2 Clash stay locked until you finish a set number of duels. It does not print the number. A November 1, 2025 creator said five wins unlocked Ranked at that time. The requirement may have changed. The PLAY menu on your account is the check.

The experience record still has VIP servers turned off. A later guide that says to practice parries in a private server does not match that record. An October 4, 2026 ranks page calls the rating ELO and says a loss to a lower-rated player hurts more. It does not print the formula. This page still does not use a numeric gain, a Bronze-to-Master ladder, or a top-50 cutoff.

Custom is listed beside Casual and Ranked. Its rules were not published. 2v2 Clash is a team queue, not a different combat system. An October 4, 2026 2v2 page suggests pairing a long weapon with a close weapon and standing apart so both opponents have to turn. Voice chat is unsupported on the experience page, so that page treats movement as the signal. Those are tactics, not a published rule set.

Season One and old ranked footage

The official Season 1 trailer on March 20, 2026 says the season is open. It does not list ranked reward tiers. A July 3, 2026 season page says Season One launched ranked. Ranked already appears in November 2025 videos, so that July sentence is that page's summary, not a chronology this site repeats. The same page's letter ranks are not adopted here. The Pre-Season Champion title, awarded for the ranked and wins leaderboard before the first season, is the published clue that Season One is the first named season.

Read arenas and modes for the round structure, and Season One for what the trailer actually says.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Dueling Grounds free to play?

Yes. The Roblox experience record shows no price. You still spend Coins, Gems, or Robux inside the game for weapons, cosmetics, and the Weapons Early Access pass.

What are the official PC controls?

The experience description lists M1 light, M2 heavy, F to parry or hold to block, Q or Shift to dodge, M3 or T to lock on, Ctrl to toggle mouse lock, Space to jump, and R for the ultimate. Those PC keys can be changed in Settings. The same description says the game supports PC, mobile, and console, and it does not print a controller chart.

What is the difference between Coins and Gems?

Coins, sometimes called gold in player guides, pay for weapons and some skins. Gems pay for many store cosmetics. Like, Favorite, codes, and match rewards can grant both. Gem pack sizes of 150, 400, 825, 1,725, and 2,700 were published without Robux prices.

When did Season One open?

The official channel posted a 33-second Season 1 trailer on March 20, 2026, and the description says Season 1 is open. Battle-pass tiers, ranked reward steps, and the seasonal cosmetic list were not in that description.

Is there an official Trello?

A July 3, 2026 code page says there is no official Trello. This guide does not link one.

Why is there no S-to-D weapon tier list?

Published letter ranks disagree with each other, and this site has not retested them. Use the weapon pages for prices and roles, then read the live Weapons menu.
